Cephalopods... Cephalopods... Cephalopods...

Oh my gosh. Where do I start with these magnificent creatures. I could dedicate an entire year I bet to Fun Facts about these mysteries of the underwater world.

There are around 800 species of cephalopods including Octopi, Squids, and Cuttlefish.

These 8 armed wonders are probably some of the smartest critters on earth. An octopus has one brain in each arm of their tentacles that can think independently and one central brain in its head that controls them all. If you would happen to put a little crab inside a closed mason jar for instance and put that in front of an octopus it would eventually figure out how to twist the lid off too get to the tasty crab inside.

An octopus mother watches over its eggs without leaving their side to guard them in order to ensure that her young have a fighting chance. She does this at the expense of her own life because by the time they hatch she has died of starvation. This means that the young have to learn everything on their own and do not have anyone to pass down the knowledge that the mother has learned through her life. Just think how smart those buggers would be if things were passed on from generation to generation. I think they would be ruling us by now.

Also lets not forget about their crazy insane camouflaging abilities. If you dont know that they can hide from almost anything watch this video.

Ants In The Pants....

So for those of you who hated my tarantula facts might not want to look at this one either.

For those of you who don't fear ants might find it interesting to know that all the ants combined in the world would actually outweigh all the humans in the world on a scale. Ants also eat more meat than all the lions, wolves, and tigers of the world combined. The scariest fact of all is that if ants wanted to they could decidedly so take over the world. Luckily they aren't that smart due to the fact that they are working off instinct and pheromone commands as opposed to free will and the combined knowledge of the species cause we would be screwed.

It's Always A Fun Fact In Philladelphia....

So for all you die hard sunny fans out there here's a little fun fact about the very end of the show. Here is a link to find out what they are saying backwards at the end of each season.

http://judyherilla.com/its-always-sunny-in-philadelphia-the-sound-at-the-end-of-the-show/

Also if you didn't notice from the credits the show was mainly created by Rob McElhenney (Mac on the show) with Charlie Day & Glenn Howerton. The pilot was recorded on a budget of $85 the cost of the digital tapes and shopped around networks until FX picked it up. It is now one of the most popular shows on the network.

Rob has recently gained 50 pounds for the current season because he felt most characters get better looking during the series of a show and he wanted to do the opposite for his character.

Faster Than A Speeding Bullet...

There's a gunslinger named Bob Munden who has a quick draw and aim so fast that you wouldn't even believe it unless you saw it in slow motion. In fact that is the ONLY way you can see it. He is able to draw his pistol and shoot two targets which are 8 feet apart so fast that you are unable to barely even see him draw his pistol. He is able to fire off two shots in under 0.02 seconds. Faster than a rattlesnake bite. In fact the the force of drawing his pistol that fast exerts something like 10 G's of forces. Normally I post a picture but if I figured I would include a link so you can see for yourself.
